“And when your Lord said unto the Angels: "Indeed! I am about to establish upon earth an inheritor” (mankind)…... (Quran 2:30)
"We have honored the children of Adam and carried them on earth and in the sea and provided to them the good sustenance. And we made them better than many of what we created." (Quran 17: 70)
The first human being created was our father Adam (AS). Mankind is the last of the three creations we have talked about that were created. [Remember: Allah told the Angels and Jinn to bow down to Adam]
"Do you not see that Allah subjected for you what is in the skies and on earth and flooded you with many blessings known and unknown." (Quran 31: 20)
Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the skies, whereby We bring forth fruits of many colors - just as in the mountains there are streaks of white and red of various shades, as well as (others) raven-black (Quran 35: 27)
And (as) there are in men, and in crawling beasts, and in cattle too, many colors? Of all His servants, only such as are endowed with (special) knowledge stand in awe of Allah Indeed! Allah is the Almighty, the Forgiving (Quran 35: 28)
In the Quran and Hadith, we are told that Adam was made from the multi-colored earth (see 35: 27-28) and Allah created man to be vicegerent of the earth and to give him control over other creatures.
Allah has given man the ability to distinguish between good and evil. Allah has given man the freedom to choose freely between right and wrong and has made it clear to man that his purpose is to worship his Creator.
Allah has gifted man with the ability to acquire knowledge. The knowledge of his deen (religion), life, and the knowledge needed to survive. As an animal lives with instinct, man lives off of trial and error. From among those who err, Allah loves the one most who turn back to Him quickly in repentance.
Similar to the Jinn, humans live in communities, and normally have families. Unlike Jinn man can be seen by all other creation. Also similar to Jinn, mankind is accountable for their deeds, and will be held accountable for them on the Day of Judgment.
"And whosoever does an atom worth of weight as good, he will see that, and whosoever does an atom worth of weight evil, he will see it."
