Fridays Khutbah

AsSalaam Alkuim,

Fridays khutbah was at The Islamic Center of Polk County. Fridays khutbah was about The Companions of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The Iman explained that it was there love for The Prophet (SAW) that made them do what they did. How they never took the sunnah for credit.  How The Companions followed the sunnah and all the sunnah. All of the sunnah. Unlike what a lot of the current ummah pick and choice which ones we want to follow. Like a salad bar.

The Iman also discussed that The Companions came from different tribes and were different races. How The Companions stuck together and supported each other no matter their differences. Stuck together for the love of Allah.

Also how that the sunnah is the ways and actions of Prophet Muhammad and he was the example for man. So, why wouldn't we try to do the same. How The Companions did it because they loved The Prophet (SAW).

This is how we should be. One ummah no matter our color or our background. How we should follow the sunnah of our Prophet (SAW), all of them. They followed it because they loved Allah and his Prophet, so shouldn't we, if we love them also.
