Fridays Khutbah

AsSalaam Alkuim,

I received todays Khutbah from Mosque Al Sunnah in Kissimmee, Fl. The khutbah was about the relationship between the Quran and the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). As it was explained the Hadith is an extension of the Quran. Example being The Quran tells the Muslim to pray, but not how many times or exactly how. In turn the Hadith explains how many times and how to pray. There are numerous examples of this.

He explained that there are some who just follow the Quran and not the hadith, but in doing so you're not fully getting the just of your deen ( your way of life which is Islam). The Quran is the revelations from Allah to his last Prophet the Hadith is the ways and actions of his last Prophet. How he carried out the revelations, how he taught his followers and humanity.
